Goldbranch's Green Building Excellence

Goldbranch has set a national standard for environmentally conscious developments, with a 12,000-square-foot custom built home that internally generates 100% of its own power needs via solar panels and geothermal systems – and in fact, consistently provides excess power into the electrical grid.

The Goldbranch approach - the baseline standard for all homes in the enclave - centers on building homes that meet or exceed the Federal Department of Energy’s Award of Excellence standards. This means that all homes have the infrastructure to support implementation of “green” technologies as they become cost-effective. This allowed Goldbranch to successfully  attain certain exemptions from the Boulder County “green building” code, through 2019 for Estate homes, and through 2029 for Village homes.
